Hi Rory
My name's Fiona and I work at the District Council with your mum.  Today we held a 'wear green for Rory' fundraiser at work. A lot of people have worn all different shades of green, and donated money and we have raised $1030 for you and your family.  We will put this onto your webpage next week.  Everyone at Council wishes you, your mum and the rest of your family all the best.  We hope you get well enough to get out of Auckland real soon.  Take care Rory, and keep smiling that amazing smile of yours!

Hi Leigh and Sean,  What can one say except that my thoughts and prayers are with you.  Your diary on this site is fantastic Leigh, you are all being so brave in this trying time.  Thank you for this opportunity to share in your experience, and thank you for this chance to help in a small way.   Love Jamie
Hi Rory - it's Judd's mum from playcentre.  You might not remember me.  I just wanted to say you are the most handsome pirate I have ever seen!!  And from what I hear, the most brave pirate ever too!  It seems like you are dong really well with your physio.  Well done on learning how to ride that freaky bike!  Do you ever get to see Ronald McDonald when you live in his house?  I am sure he knows you are there, and is happy to help look after you.  I am sorry you are sick, but I am so proud of you in the way you are helping all the nurses and doctors and physios help to you get better.  Love from Jamie

Hi Rory,
I'm sorry you are not feeling too good today. I know what it is like when you are in hospital and you can't do things like everyone else.
I'm enjoying my first day of the holidays - I'm luckier than everyone else to be starting my holidays a day earlier. I should be doing my vacuuming but I have found better things to do - writing to you.
Hoping you are feeling better soon and that the Easter bunny will be extra kind to you.
Love from Miss McLean

Dear Rory, Sam Leigh and Sean. Im not sure if you'll remember me Rory, but I looked after you (and Sam) at Kamo Kids and Tots.  I have fond memories of those centres, and all the "little people" in them. Rory, I remember you use to like to go outside in little gumboots and a raincoat on and stomp around in the rain. I also remember we would always find you under the arch in the trees or in the bushy areas of the centre. I think you might follow in Dad's footsteps.....(hunting etc, if you are doing so already!)  I am thinking of you and your family everyday and wish you all the very best with your treatment.Good Luck guys!!! Love Tamla

Hi Rory, been thinking of you.  Really pleased that the operation yesterday went to plan.  Hope you are feeling a little bit better tomorrow.  Troy and Blake are asking lots and lots of questions about you and your operations, scars, eye patch, button etc - they will want to check you out, big time,  when they see you next.  We had a talk to your Granny (Sandy) last night to hear your news, she, like us, thinks you are being AMAZINGLY BRAVE !! Keep smiling Sean and Leigh.    All our love from the Vees
