Good Evening from WINDY DARGAVILLE!!  Phew its blowing hard here tonight!!  All the children are tucked up into bed after a very busy weekend.  Kody went off on an exciting adventure with Gordon, his Dad, David and Korie on Saturday to camp out overnight at a Bay north of Whananaki.  Kody arrived home thisafternoon exhausted!  After exploring rock pools, swimming and having lots of fun.  Gordon said they had heaps of fun and Boy can Kody SNORE!!  It was so bad Gordon had to sleep out under the stars! until it got too cold and he had to venture into the tent!  Ben went along to a birthday party down at the Pirate Ship and then lastnight we (minus Kody) all went out to a friends house for a BBQ.  They had great big mounds of sand around their yard so all the kids played well into the night.  We came home at about 11 with 2 very tired, grubby kids!  I even managed to sew some of the DPS Kapa Haka girls skirts (A job Whaea Danielle had me unknowingly volunteer for!)
It sounds like you are all itching to get out of the ward and I hope this happens soon for you!  Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.  Hopefully life will get a bit easier for you.
Well take care, and we send down our usual dose of strength, love happiness and high levels of what you need to get out!!
Always, Us xxxxx

congratulations Rory on making it through the hardest thing you will ever have to do - just let us know what you fancy and we can make some concoctions (nothing like the playdough scones we used to turn out at playcentre) i make a mean batch of chocolate chippies - just sayin'...hardly seems fair after all the cr%p you have been through to have to start making all those decisions... still i guess they give you some control over your lives again...anyone who could have either of you guys working for them would be bloody lucky...

Well that news is all very exciting!....for us I know you still have a big journey in front of you and Big decisions to make.  The time will come when you may taste freedom again!!  Looking forward to that for you all.  And yet another hard 0decison to make over the MRI.  You continue to be an inspiration to alot of people Leigh.  I have never met anyone so strong and full of courage.
We have had a lovely day here today.  Kody had Adam come after school for a play, needless to say our house was full of noise and action.
This morning Ben accidentally squashed Stellas hand in the wardrobe door! (The morning turned to custard from then!) It looked pretty bad but seemed to come right after about 10 minutes, we are expecting a big bruise!!
Returning home to Whakapara will be lovely and scary for you too.  Goodluck Rory with the reintroduction of food!  and hopefully you dont have to wait long to have the hickman line removed.
Keeping the strong ones coming your way, Lots of Love Trudi and the Crew xxxxx

How awesome to hear you have finished the last of the chemo treatment Rory. I guess it won't feel like it until you feel much better. Hopefully that will happen quickly (after the antibiotics) with so many people sending their positive thoughts to you. I, like everyone else, look so forward to the day when I hear that you are strong and happy like the boy that stole our hearts so long ago. You can do it buddy, you may never be quite the same, you'll be even better!
Leigh, Sean, and Sam, hold tight to the stories with happy endings, they do happen. Much love, Jeni.

hi all you guys, think about you every day. You are all doing what you need to do for each other and doing so well keeping strong through real tough times. The photo of the bean bag movie theatre is super. Might have to try it sometime with my boys. Zane and I are getting ready for his school camp at gulf harbour from Nov 23 for 5 days. They have heaps planned including 2 city days.Think adults will be more tired than the kids! Keep bing strong for a wee bit longer then you have a northland summer to enjoy.
