Hey Leigh, I think you look lovely and you can definitely get away with a ponytail (after all I wear pigtails and I am older than you!!) Also I would LOVE to be able to wear "runners" all the time. I don't know how women walk all around town etc in dress shoes! I am not allowed to wear my smelly running shoes at work -the boss (Andrew!) would complain... Well you guys have toughed out another bloody hard week; and here I am complaining about the wee drops on the toilet seat and having to scrub the grass stained cricket pants! I hope you get some better moe this week. Love to all XXXXX00000 D,A,C,L,B
Any photos of 'out on the town' to post?? hehehe
Well hello!! I hope you are enjoying the time with your Nana and Poppa and you can escape from isolation soon!
Today we went along to the 'Crank up Day' at Harding Park. We got to see lots of old farm machinery in action from water pumps to tractors it was cool. There was a Clydesdale horse and a white shetland pony too. You could watch some men shear some sheep in an old shearing shed with the old motor powering the clippers...it stunk of poos in the shed! We had a yummy sausage sizzle and entered lots of raffles.
It was supposed to rain today but the sun is still shining and Kody and Ben are out on the trampoline with lots of soap stuff making it very slippery! Stella is with Nana at the Tangiteroria School show day (Our cousins school) Sophie has a calf to show (they had lambs too but one died!)
Well we all hope you are felling better soon and have a rip roaring immunity soon! Sending down the good ones xxxxx
Hi there you guys in the big smoke!
I just had to write to you to let you know that I have a fan club!!! All two of them. Isn't that great? Of course, I can't compete with you, Rory but just watch out!!! As for being better behaved...well...she can't catch me when I run across the road now. I'm onto that indignity and won't be caught by the scruf of the neck again! I had a wonderful time visiting in the house next door by myself. After all I'm not Mr Personality Plus for nothing! Hope you get out of iso..isol..whatever..being in your own room very soon. I like to hear about all the adventures you have around Auckland. Did you get the opurr I sent down? Well, tood bad. I'll try another..ready? Here goes...purrrrrrrr
Love to all
Sparky (living up to my name)
Dear Rory, Mum is typing this for me my arms are too tired from all the writing at school!
Today we had a fun day at school. We diddnt do normal stuff! NO WORK SHEETS!! woo hoo!! We did silent ball, dead ants, octopus, and at the end of the day we had a game of bullrush! And we had Kapa Haka too
My house is a reck but I couldn't help but sit down for five minutes and catch up. Wow Rory, you are a very lucky boy to have your mother, I know at times you don't agree but when you look back, you will see how fortunate you are to be blessed with Leigh, her strength, forethought, determination and will to keep it together for all of you.
Leigh, there are times I know when you don't feel these things, but you are mindblowing. What an inspiration. More strong warm fuzzies to help you.
Come on Rory, your nearly at the end of treatment, 'Keep on swimming dude'. Strong warm ones comin atcha. Brenda
hi guys, well not great to hear of the sicky yucky stuff rory, hopefully the medicines will kick in and yo will perk up a bit tomorro, and you sean hope that you got to catch up on some sleep today, you are doing a great job and rory will be loving spending lots of time with his dad. It is great tho that you are able to take turn about now that you are all together again, sharing the tough nights has been a very hard road and now it can be split, hard as it is to share it round - I know personally that as a mum you feel you need to do it all - but even we have to step aside and let the guys do it sometimes - and hey - mine is a paediatric nurse - and I still think I have to be there when it comes to my babies (well sometimes - once again it is a special mum type thing embedded deep deep down inside us i think more than anything - gotta love your kids!!!) the guys do an awesome job to and we just have to let them at cos they to know how to be a dad and darn good ones too at the end of the day - Leigh our kids are very lucky - they have great dads that love them to bits and we are very lucky to have great kids and great partners to stand by us in caring for them. Your job as their mum and partner has been a very hard path lately and you are a legend for doing it with such style and I gotta say your determination and personality has stood you thru this - GOOD ON YOU, you are an inspiration to all us mums - keep up the good work and give those boys a big hug from us. lots of love and hugs wendy jas logan and mikayla
Gudday. Well thats not the best news ever is it!! Poor you Rory, we all might need to step up the good healing strong vibes a notch or three and send them your way!!! I hope you are improving. Its not really fair is it!
I have been to the shop where we purchased the laser guns and they have sold out!! So we are waiting for new ones to arrive in. As soon as I get my hands on them they will be in the post to you and Sam.
Kody is enjoying the temporary room 3. It smells very new! The start of the term always seems to catch up on him on about the 3rd day back. He was awfully tired this afternoon. I had to drag him along to Keas. They got to write on a board called the Wish List with requests of what they would all like to do this term at Keas. Kody put down that he wants to have a ride on a quad bike! Not too sure they can wing that one!!
I feel quite useless to you now! I wish there was more we could do to help. Know you are all in our thoughts, and we send strength and love your way.
I bet you are looking forward to your special Jet Setting visitors in a few weeks!! That should be fun, something good to look forward to.
I will need to know exactly when Seans birthday is! I will cook a nice cake for him...any requests?
Any WHO, keep strong, Lots of Love Brian Trudi Kody Ben and Stella xxxxx
I hope today is alot better for you than yesterday. The weather is finally decent to go out in and your stuck in a hospital. Bah humbug!! That is polite words instead of 'Farm words'. Well the lambs are growing, I had to buy new teats for them the other day cause they wore out the old ones. I don't think they are that fussed on them as the hole at the end is smaller and it takes longer to drink. I gave them 500mls the other day and then decided not to do that again as they looked really bloated and you know what happens as a result of too much milk!! We are all back to work/school this week and this morning Ethan informed me that they did extra work at school yesterday and he wasn't going this morning. Gotta love em don'tcha?! Points for trying. They tried the bike out the other day and in their hurry to get on it and ride it around they didn't get proper instructions as to how it is used. So we will try again this coming weekend and I will be in charge (so of course it will go a bit more smoothly). Rueben ran into one of the raised gardens and didn't want to get back on and I think Ethan got sick of Dad running around with him. They have been making mud puddles with their pushbikes, canning off them and the bruises aren't visible at night til you wash the mud off in the shower. We didn't make it in to see you guys in the holidays as I had originally planned because Rueben and I had colds and I thought it best to stay away but you were all on my mind the whole time. Warm strong fuzzy ones comin at ya and hoping that you are out of hospital. Brenda
