Hi Rory and Family, I have been following your journery from the start, and have been blown away by how brave you have been Rory, with everything you have been through.. I have a son called Dylan, he is 16, and he is in hospital at the moment,  he has had very bad headache for about a week, and the doctors are doing lots of tests on him to find out whats wrong with him.  He got a bit angry yesterday, because all he wanted, was to go home.  I starting to tell him about your journery and he calmed down alot, after hearing what you have been going through, and you are only are such a brave young boy... Well Rory I better go as I have a big day ahead of me.  I will be calling in from time to time to see how you are getting on.  Take Care xx

Hi guys,
What a windy, cold day here in Northland, I think a day to stay inside maybe, catch up on schoolwork (me anyway) and watch a DVD.  Great to here the legs still work Leigh, what a great place to ride that bike Sam, I bet Mum has to go twice as fast to keep up.  We are spending this week at home and have Zacks 8th birthday this weekend, Marks going to take the boys to the Northland vs Wellington game in Whangarei, so lets hope its not raining. Zack wants to know if you got his thank you letter for that special mug you chose Rory, its the only one he will use.  Hopefully you are starting to feel a little better and keeping those milkshakes down.  We are looking forward to maybe seeing you all on Conors birthday but I will be in touch.  Fingers crossed (and toes)!!!!!!  Stay strong, and lots of love to you all.

Tee Hee fancy having teenage moments!!!  Poor you Rory : (  We are all thinking of you and sending loads and loads of good thoughts your way.
We are making our way through Roald Dahls 'The BFG' finding it very funny (in a tongue twister kind of way) and some parts are quite scary!!! Have you read this book?
Today out at Nana and Poppas Kody and Ben were having a great big - gang up on Mum - Pillow fight! All was going well until Ben headbutted my knee!  It made quite a juicy sound, and we are not sure if the sound came from Bens head or my knee!  We are both okay although my knee has done a few funnys since then!!!  I purchased Kody Ben and Stella a laser gun each yesterday they shine a very bright red light either in a dot or a smily face, butterfly or a jet thing.  This has kept them very amused!!  They got these treats for being so good yesterday (Sat) downtown, I was in a Fashion Parade in the main street! for Polwarts Fashion!  I had a bit of a Marilyn Monroe moment with the wind (like alot of the girls involved!) and managed to keep composed! only to find myself nearly come a cropper in some death defying stilettos! ( a fancy save here too!) It was called 'The Stop Traffic Fashion Parade!' I think we did!!!!  Kody and Ben said I looked Beautiful!!  I am happy for them to still see no faults in me yet!!! The time will come when our boys wont want to be seen with us!!
Well its now time for me to hit the hay.  So keep strong, sending love and hugs your way,  They Johnstons xxxxx
P.S Go Rory Go Rory Go Rory whoop whoop!!!

hi guys, great to hear that the move is now all behind you and you have settled into your new home away from all the commuting and shift swapping between the hospital and your home.  hopefully now you can concentrate on being a family together again and draw strength from just spending lots of quality time together, which will be much deserved and far easier for all of you. we have just arrived back from being in hamilton overnight, jas had to teach yesterday and today, great to be back again in the naki but it is pouring down, typical naki weather at the moment eh.  anyhow off to bed just wanted to catch up with how you all are today, we missed reading your update yesterday cos of traveling, so had to look in now even at this late hour.  nitey nite, hope you have a better day tomoro rory - lots of love wendy, jas, logan and mikayla.

Yellow!  If I were a maths teacher (and lets remember I am not!) I would say, Rory you are very closet to the 3/4 mark!!! so here is a BIG WHOOP WHOOP to you, Keep going strong matey!  It sounds tough and horrible.  This round is going to be a bit different having so many helpers around, some different faces to look at and theres nothing quite like some brotherly argy bargy on the playstation to lift your spirits.
We are halfway (gosh more maths fractions!) through the holidays.  The first week was mostly wet and cold, The boys managed to get outside inbetween the foul weather.  We even had some thunder and lightening! (Stella calls this punder...and wakes me in the night to remind me!!!) The boys have passed their time annoying me!  Yesterday I gave them a box each, one was so big when Stella was in it you couldnt even see her.  This morning as I was rushing to get everybody ready as I was going to work, I found Stella stranded in the box!!! Yes Ben had dragged her into the box, playing a game, got sick of the game so walked off and left Stella in the box (she couldnt get out by herself!!!) I only just heard her saying 'I wanna get out!'  Yep not too happy with young Ben!  The boys have also found they can climb up really high in the magnolia tree out front and nobody walking past can see them.  They gave a group of boys (they called them gangsters) walking past a HUGE fright by making a noise when they were right beside them!!  I asked them why they thought they were gangsters, they informed me it was because they said a very bad word when they got a fright!!!
Anyway! I hope you are holding up....all of you.  I hope its a bit easier having you all down there for support for each other.  Sending Love Hugs and strength to you all.  Brian, Trudi, Kody, Ben and Stella xxxxx
