Poor Rory :( Run Sam Run tomorrow, Stella and I should be there to cheer you on (Providing I have enough voice leftover from Kody and Bens races!) My heart goes out to you Leigh being torn in two and I feel for you too Sean you probably feel overwhelmed by it all!
We had another serious round of soccer on the table tonight and yes Kody and Ben both whip my you know what!!
I have happy memories of last years cross country Rory with you and Kody sprinting along the home straight, after talking and mucking around at the half way mark! We will miss you tomorrow but i guess what you are going through is like running a very very long, rocky, slippery cross country.  Go Rory Go!!! Super dooper good thoughts coming your way. Lots of Love The Johnstons xxxxx

Hey there guys, thinking of you all during this separation.  Eeyooow Sam what was that in your room that mum found?!?!? Maybe it was one  of Rorys gross lunches he needed to stash!!!  I remember when Jamie had a big clean out in her room and we found a mummified lizard behind her bed!  And being a girl she was totally grossed out, however Korie thought 'yessss a lizard for my science table"!  But Jamie was not having it anywhere in the house and she sucked it up the vacuum!  Anyway the buzz is all on for cross country tomorrow, good luck Sam, I hope all your training pays off and if I don't need to head off to work I will try to stick around to watch your race too.  Take care all, hugs and wellness coming your way Rory, you are doing an amazing job champ, Love from Kathryn xox

Gday Rory, well today it is raining.  Its the first day of rain we have had since April - 4 months ago!!!  Everyone is moaning that their washing isn't going to dry today.  I quietly smile to myself when I think of the many days needed to get the washing dry in Dargaville.  Even with constant wind to help.  I have to admit I am enjoying the rain though, its nice to have wet feet for a change and damp air.  Never thought I would say that.  Our lawn is a nice shade of brown, and doesnt need mowing.  At the moment we have beautiful pink and grey parrots in the trees above our house.  They are probably enjoying the rain too.  Take care buddy, you are doing a fantastic job, and we are all thinking of you.

Tales from Tangowahine
We now have two new lambs and they are so pretty. Apparently they are a new kind of meat breed. The boys fed them when they got home and now the lambs are sleeping on the deck. The two new ones are curled up together and Guts is across the otherside of the deck from them. I hope they can teach him some new manners. Obviously, Guts is way bigger than the other two, but then that's hardly surprising. The boys have crosscountry tomorrow and I am going to watch. It is going to be interesting as the track is really wet and muddy, as much as they like playing in the mud, I don't think they are big fans of running in it. I hope this weather keeps up. So, I can't proclaim to know how you feel (although my brother in law told me it was like having a hangover, and I do know how that feels!). Just want you to know we are thinking of you and wishing you the best. Warm Fuzzies Brenda

Well hello there! Just think Rory after this round of chemo you can say 2 down 2 to go! yeehaa to that!  Hope you are feeling okay.  The soccer table has gone down a treat in our house thank you very much!  we had some pretty fierce competition yesterday afternoon (so fierce in fact my wrists were too sore to type a message to you!)  Once you are all settled after all of this is finished with you might like it back so we will keep that door open for you!  Kody and Ben are getting excited about the cross country on Wednesday (2 sleeps!)  this afternoon they got out of the car at the gate and sprinted to the back door (kind of a little bit scared because I was behind them in the car, they think I am going to overtake them or something!  It makes them go really fast! (just for the record I dont chase them in the car!!) Ben never has the energy to walk the short distance home but you want to see him run just for fun!
Crikey I thought the wind was going to carry me away today!  I made vampire slime and play dough at playcentre today oh yes and bubble fluff! Was lots of fun. Sending seriously happy healing thoughts your way. Lots of love from the Johnstons xxxxx

Good morning Rory, well Korie bounced off to school this morning, he hasn't had any down time since he came home from your house on Saturday!  The Kody collision 'bump' on his head has gone!!!! (Thanks Dr Leigh for seeing to that!)  It sounds terrible but I was kinda happy to see that Kody had a bump on his head too, he ALWAYS leaves our house injured!!! So I'm glad that battle wounds happen at your house too!!!  We went to Kories great nanas on Saturday and he worked like a little soldier in her garden and cut down some trees and tidied her yard.  Then we went out to the bach for a social occasion with Nana and Grandad Morrison and Uncle Mark (nana talked about seeing you and mum last week) Korie finally went to bed at 9.30!  Then up on Sunday for a drive with Popa Milich and Gordon to the Waipoua Forrest for Kories first visit the Yakas tree.  They tell me that the camera went flat and so no photos to proove that he actually got there!!!  Well it's crazy windy here today, we hope your week goes to plan, take care dude, sending all our good healing thoughts your way.  Love form Kathryn xox

Tangowahine Tales
I realise that your day isn't going to be a good one but I hope this takes your mind off it for a while.
We found out where Guts was getting out of his enclosure. I'm not sure if that has been sorted yet but he seemed okay staying in there this weekend because i was in the house.
Yesterday i thought I would give him a big feed to keep him happy and gave him 600mls of milk. His little tummy was sticking out both sides when i had finished and I felt satisfied because he struggled to get through it all. Satisfaction short lived. When it came time to feeding him at lunchtime I found out he had gas from too much milk and we shouldn't feed him again till the gas had gone. (He needed to fart, really badly) So we had to wait till that happened. He got a feed last night but not as much as the morning and he was fine when we got up this morning. The boys came back from their grandparents yesterday with sprats that they had caught off the wharf at Russell. Rueben has been feeding them to the cat (all four of them) and when I got out of the shower this morning he had put one in the cats bowl in the kitchen!!!! I remained very calm as I asked him to put them outside on the deck because i would be sick. Not amount of purfume from the shower was going to hide that smell. And so we all start another week. I know today and the days coming are going to be tough but in the long run it will be worth it. Warm fuzzies. Brenda
