Keep on truckin Rory!  You can do it!!
Kody had today off school he has not been able to shake his cough so now he is on antibiotics.  Yesterday was Keas and they had a trip to the fire station, I honestly thought Kody would be too old for that but we had a blast!  They hooked up one of the fire hoses and all the kids got to have a hold,  they sprayed water onto passing cars, the Fire Station and parked cars!!! Then we all got to have a ride in the Fire Truck!! (I was probably the most excited about this!!!) Kody and I were in the back with Adam, Sage Matthew, Hayden and Kelly and in the front was Kiyvarn with his Nana and by golly it was fun!  We drove past our house with the siren going and the lights flashing Nana, Ben and Stella were outside.  Ben was so excited he forgot he was standing on the picnic table and fell off!! Fortunatly he did not hurt himself!  On Saturday (weather permitting) is the trip to the Aero Club for a 15minute aeroplane ride!! (Kody doesnt want me to go...I think I may be a bit embarrassing when I get excited!)  And if its any consolation I have slept with one eye open my entire life!  Mum and Dad and Brian always get a kick out of telling people this when we are out!
Leigh will you need help on your next trip home to pack?? let me know and we can organise a team!!...If you want!

Hi you guys... man some huge changes and that they are made you will be able to breathe a bit more... i can't imagine how exhausting it must be racing backward and forwards while your heart is so torn... if there is anything we can do, please ask....
Rory you are doing such a great job of getting through this hard stuff - so glad those pigeons are giving you something warm and full of life to hold - if you ever want us to bring our smelly poodle down for a cuddle just say the word... Eila was home from school with a bit of a bug today and she and i took the poodle for a walk and the cat came too - through the mud and gorse and he was so pooped 20 minutes later that he fell asleep under the first tree we got to inside our gate
glad you liked the lego - no bowling the nurses over with it ok?
love jane and whanau

HI Leigh. My thoughts are with you all at this time. Know that lots of people are sending you their love and best wishes and we know that by summer you can spend family time together to regroup and recover. You are so strong and brave.

Tangowahine Tales
Well the two new lambs have settled in rather well. I hate to admit it and didn't want to but 'kindness killed Guts'. I overdid the feeding thing and was feeding him incorrectly (apparently you have to feed them at low level and not tip the bottle up otherwise it doesn't all end up in their tummies). After we got the two new lambs he just got woeful and gave up. Didn't want to admit it, but the truth always comes out. So after asking lots of questions of people who have reared lambs I found out what not to do and the right way of doing things so am aiming to be successful with these little lambies. At least they have only been inside twice!!! People are learning to keep the doors shut despite keeping the lambs out, shut doors keep the warmth in!!
Hard decisions for you guys, but good on you for putting family first. I hope that you keep up the website so that we can follow how you are doing, and keep sending you our strength, positive thoughts and warm fuzzies. Leigh you are doing really well, as a mother, it is amazing where you find strength. Brenda

Well Hello.  Big decisons made then aye! What ever you have to do to make it somewhat easier you just have to do, as hard as it is.  We cannot even begin to know what you are all having to endure, but like Kathryn said we are always here for you, and for anything just ask and you shall receive!!! I am glad you got to breathe in some fresh air (even if its Auckland air) and feel the lovely warm sunshine today.
Kody and Ben walked themselves home from school for the first time ever today, I was very proud of them.  Kody is about to lose another tooth soon...actually it looks like about 4 might come out at around about the same time!  Wont that look funny!  Its already quite painful watching him try to bite things with the side teeth!! Whats he going to be like when he is missing a whole lot??
Well Goodnight from us here in Dargaville and keep strong and fight hard Rory.  Lots of love from The Johnstons xxx
