Kathryn and Korie ( Dargaville )

Hi dee hi Gardiners!  Firstly, Rory dude you are doing a great job at getting through this stage and I have to agree with the guestbook entry that refered to Nimo - 'Just keep swimming, just keep swimming'!  And secondly, we are home tonight after an 8 hour trip back from Ohakune (a tiny little town at the base of Mt Ruapehu) Korie skied down Ruapehu yesterday after only about a half hour lesson and a few trips down the learners slope!  We were totally blown away by the whole experiecne.  The sun shone on the slopes and the snow was so brilliantly white it took my breath away! Travelling with us was my trusty green Rory ribbon which we placed on our first ever snowman (photo will be in the post within the week)  However it isn't easy to make snowmen!  That was more of a challenge for Korie than skiing down the mountain!  Tee hee hee.  Korie and I rode on a toboggan together on Wednesday and we both giggled like school girls (well actually I did all the giggling) Korie was silent till we hit the snow wall at the end and nearly did a back flip!  Then he laughed so hard I thought he might pee himself!!!  As soon as he stood up he ran up the slope, fell over and smacked his nose on the hard snow!  (Snow looks soft but it blimmin hurts when you do a nose dive in it!!! He was a bit sore but there was no stopping him after that, he was full steam ahead for about 3 hours non stop.  Korie has just come in the door after going for a night ride with Gordon, they rigged up a head lamp on his helmet and did a ride down town.
Anyway in the mean time keep being positive and strong, you are in our thoughts and prayers always.  Love Kathryn and Korie xox  PS hi to Mum, Dad and Sam.  By the way Korie had two uncles, his dad and Grandad Morrison at the snow with him and none of them wore shorts and they all had gloves on.  We can't figure out if your dad is a legend or crazy!!!

Rory te Toa you keep making those white bloodcells and the other ones too - you turn that corner ok?  There are better things around that corner and you are getting there...

Leigh kia kaha - sending you non eye shutting rest - look after yourself (even if it is just talking kindly to yourself when you have those internal chats) you are being supported

off to netball but have to put the guinea pigs back into the grass - it was too stormy for them last night and the lambs have been wondering what on earth was going on yesterday was their first real stormy weather and they were not happy!

Hi Rory and Leigh. I thought I would give you a lamb update!! DAvid insisted on them sleeping in the Laundry last night!! @#$%$#@!^&* is what I thought of the idea and @#$%^&^%$#@! is what faced me this morning when I had to go to the loo!! The lambs names keep changing, first is Ethan called his Suuky, then Suuky Pants, then Sam Suuky Pants, now it is called Sammy Bammy, Rueben called his Chocolate ears, eventhough he has a brown nose!! They are putting on weight with milkshakes too, you can't see their hips anymore. Tonight they are sleeping in their own house and David has instructions to put them somewhere else if he wants to keep them warm!!!! Can you tell I am into high maintenance of one's self over being a farmer??!! So, I really hope you have a better night and things get better, I check on you several times a day and am sending you both lots of strength and warm fuzzies.  Brenda
