Wow, Rory. Amazing to hear that you're back at school.  How exciting and a bit strange it will be to be back with all your friends for a few weeks.  Well done on making it to the end of radio-therapy.

I told Korie that you were back at school today Rory.  His reaction was "Rory? Rory? Back at my school? Today?"  It was a funny reaction so I think he might be hoping to feel better tomorrow so he isn't missing out on sharing some of you!  However we will see how he is in the morning he has another cold!  Korie went fishing at Marsden Point off a pontoon on Saturday with his dad and Poppa Milich, Korie was the only one to catch anything and it wasn't even a fish!  He caught a crab!  It was absolutely freeeeezing and he came home with a runny nose and bags under his eyes and hasn't been very well since!  We hope your first day back at school was ok and look forward to seeing you soon.  Love Kathryn and Korie xox

Hi Rory. I went to visit my dad/mum this afternoon (Uncle Hami/Aunty Hilary). Mum showed me the photo of you and your bestest friend who has had his hair shaved off. How cool is that, a mate who will always be there with you I'm sure, a life long friend. My sister, Lorraine, had her birthday on Sunday (I better not say how YOUNG she is haha) and her daughter, Holly, made her a yummy as chocolate cake. It was very nice. I am going to go for a walk now with my bestest friend who has four legs and his name is Cyprus. He is a Rotty Cross and he is 9 years old. You have a great week Rory. Love to you and your whanau. See ya. Sharon X X

Wow, powerful entry on the 18th Leigh, and you know me, I cried!  I cried for your experiences, your pain, your hope, the known and unknown.  The encounter with the maori in the domain sounded beautiful and was a little reminder to me of an experience we had with a local maori during a very trying time in our lives, which seemed to make a difference.  Angels walk among us and just maybe you encountered one this week!  Have a brilliant weekend Sean, Leigh,Sam and Rory love from Kathryn, Gordon, Jamie and Korie xox

Hi Leigh, Rory, Sean and Sam - wow Leigh, yesterdays entry is both heartwrenching, and heartwarming.  You are having to learn and understand all of the medical terminology and 'sensible' hat on making sure you take it all in, while being a Mum/parent at the same time, when all you want to do is probably cry - you really do have my admiration, you are being so strong, and its great tht you take in everything and are able to pass it on to us here on the website.  And Rory, you are being so strong and brave, just keep on hanging in there, hopefully the man in the domain did what you need him to. - And I see from the new photos what you mean about those lovely eyelashes - you'll just have to grown them back twice as beautiful when this is over.

Hey Rory, I have just done another weeks worth of printouts for Uncle Hami & Aunty Hilary. Again, they send their love & good wishes. The new set of photos are great. I liked the ones of you all baking scones. I would like to share my Holly's (age 12) scone recipe with you; it is so easy peasy, she makes them all the time and they are a big hit. Your Aunty Lale & Aunty Deirdre have tried. Ask Mum if you can make them, okay? You will need 2 C selfraising flour, 1/4 C caster sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 125ml lemonade, 125ml cream.  Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Place dry ingredients into large bowl & combine well. Add cream & lemonade & mix to form soft dough.  Turn out onto floured board & knead lightly. Press dough gently & pat until approx 2cm thick. Cut into 8 squares. Arrange on lined baking tray, brush tops with little milk & bake for 10-15mins till tops lightly brown.  Makes 8 large scones.  Cheers Rory and you have a great weekend!!!
