Hi Rory my class is Room 5 and we just all looked at your cool website in our room on our ActivBoard ( like a whiteboard but more high tech).Everyone in our class thinks you are so brave and cool to deal with everything so well. They loved your shoes and are amazed by your beads.
Keep being strong.

Hi Rory,
It was really great to see you at Assembly yesterday. It was my first day back after my trip to Minneapolis. I missed out on the dress up day they had at school last week, but I have enjoyed looking at the photos.
Tomorrow our class is going to Whangarei museum, kiwi house and the bird recovery centre. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to it.
Keep smiling.
Love from Miss McLean.

Kathryn and Korie ( Dargaville )

Hi there Leigh and Rory, it was so lovely to see you both at school this morning.  Rory you have grown taller since I last saw you!  Well we arrived home at about 9.15 tonight from the Dargaville Town Hall after meeting Sparky the one legged Kiwi!  Some people from DOC were there to do a talk about protecting the kiwi, there was lots of information to listen to.  We were wondering if your dad knows Sparky, we touched his feathers and they were quite coarse.  It was a bit late for a school night but Korie was very keen to go and meet a real kiwi, he also made the most of the food table and ate more than his share of chocky bickies and sandwiches!  I think he is having a growth spurt!  The class photo looks fantastic, we hope you got yours today too.  Well I must skip off to bed yawn yawn love and hugs to you both. Kathryn and Korie xox

Wow! What a monumentous few days!
I have been out of touch but have just read the last week's reports.  Wow!  Getting to go home for 3 days must have been absolutely fabulous for all of you.  And Rory, I definately agree with everyone - those shoes are cool!
It must have been exciting but a bit strange to get to go to school for a little while.  I bet everyone talks about your visit all week.
Love Miss Barr

Hi Rory, It's Caids Mum here, I was so thrilled to see you at school assembly today (I was at the door with Lily because we were late...again!) I noticed your Mum and then saw you when I was leaving. You wouldn't know me but like so many others that keep up with your progress, I feel like I know you, thanks to your clever Mum who has a great way of explaining your treatments. I work with some nurses and doctors here in Darg and are familiar with some of your procedures...like everyone says, you are one special boy to have that cool smile even after all your operations and needles etc. I have a HUGE amount of respect for you and your Whanau, and I know that many other kids and adults feel the same. I hope you know all our good wishes and love are coming your way more than ever.
