Hi Rory

You won't have ever met me but I was a good friend of your Mum's when we were about your age!  Sounds like you've had a pretty rough time but are on the mend so look after yourself!

Leigh, Mum forwarded on the news article so thought I'd drop you a line via this as I didn't have a separate email address. My thoughts are with you all - take care and once you get through all of this, keep in touch.

Hi Rory,
I am so pleased that the doctors have found out why you have been having such high temperatures. I hope you start feeling a lot better now.
I am at school waiting for Mrs Vincent to get here, but there are no kids here. I guess they must be on holiday!!!!! We are going to do some planning and some tidying up in the classroom.
Enjoy your time at Ronald McDonald House.
Love from Miss McLean.

Hi there Leigh, nice to see you have some answers to the temp attacks!  I noticed that Michelle said today that you are her inspiration and I have to say ditto to that.  I admire your strength, determination and ability to report hot off the press updates for us all to follow each and every day!  There is something to be said for a mothers magic and unconditional love that carries us through the challenges that life throws our way.  And I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to lighten your load and do the 1am shift!  Please remember that we are all here for you and your family - ask and you shall recieve...
good night love from Kathryn x

Well hello!  Kody has asked me to write to you tonight as he is too tired!  The walk to the Bluff was exciting and he came home and checked to see if they had their photo taken at the same sign as you guys.  He told me I couldnt do it cause my legs would get too tired!  We then went out to my sisters house where we were getting firewood and the boys played around and watched their cousin Daniel scrape the fat off a possum skin! eeewwww! Daniel caught it skinned it treated it with salt stuff and now is doing the scraping! Kody thought it was cool. Well we all hope you had a better day and fingers crossed you still get to come home this week.  Lots of Love The Johnstons xxxx

Hey Rory, Our Nana(Judy) told us about your website. So we thought we'd send you our best wishes, because we use to go to Kamo under 5 daycare with you and Sam. And our Mum(Kelly) worked there with our Nana(Judy) and Aunty Tamla.
Mum's  been reading through here and knows heaps of the Dargavillians(cause her and Dad are old Dargavillians) that have sent in stuff, she can't believe ole Sean Passell is 40...HI Kathryn!
So hope your feeling better today...if not eat more chocolate...that always helps!
Mum wants to know if Sam still quiet and shy? He was always the easiest kid to get to sleep at nap time

Hi Leigh and Sean, Rory and Sam, Just had a lovely paddle down the Ngunguru River with about 60 other people. I wanted to share it with you cos looking at your pix you guys like your adventures. Close your eyes and imagine for a moment a still, overcast morning, full tide, the red-purples of the saltmarsh ribbonwood, green and yellows of the oioi, the gentle rhythm of the paddles as we went with the tide down to the sea. We saw ridges of kauri and rimu, graceful kowhai tickling the water, white olearia flowering, fat shags heading for a roost and the scent of the mangrove flowers wafted around us. It was a magical April day on the coast.  Take a deep breath guys - remember the moments and know you can do this. Thinking of you all. Nan P.
