Grannie & Grandad ( Whangarei )

Hello Matey. Grannie had a great day with you yesterday. It was really lovely to see your smile and mischeavious face, play games, and that fun fart toy. What next will Dr Catherine give you from her bag of tricks ??? The walk in the Domain and that yummy Fejoa ice-cream - great. By the way you are progressing with your physio, it will not belong before we will be playing soccer and chasing ZaZa and Patch around, not forgetting about keeping Grandad in line.
Leigh and Sean you are doing a great job, love you both. Looking forward to seeing Sam and listening to all his adventures with Nana and Poppa.
Lots of love and high fives Rory, Grandad and Grannie

Hi Leigh & Rory.  I check the website each day for the latest news, its my daily ritual when I get to work.  Thinking of you guys all the time and passing my love and strength to you both.  Mum says hello to you both and wishes all the best.  Each time I speak to her she asks how Rory is, so I pass the daily news on.  Take care both of you!

Hiya!  I hope today went well and it is all go for tomorrow!   Today we went to my sisters house at Kirikopuni, Tangiteroria and Daniel (Kodys cousin) found a nest (not sure if that is the right term) of skinks...big ones...little ones....fast ones.......slow ones we had lots of fun watching them.  One farm dog called Boy and their pet dog named Digger (you can guess why!) had a bit of a fight not too sure why but I think Digger might need to behave better or he might not live there anymore!  They usually are friends but I think they were having a bad day. Daniel and 3 of his friends are camping out on the farm somewhere tonight, I think it will be cold.  Good luck for tomorrow Rory.  I will get Kody to write something to you tomorrow morning.  Take Care Love Trudi xxx

Hi Rory.  I went to school with your dad, and my dad knows your grand dad Gardiner.  3 years ago my 10 month old boy was diagnosed with cancer and we spent lots of time on ward 27.  A different cancer to you though.   I wanted to say Hi to you and your dad, and wish you all the very best in your treatment.  My boy Cameron has turned 4 today, he is doing really well and in remission.  I hope you are well enough that you get to go out and about or talk to friends on the wards.

Hi there Rory and Leigh, Korie, his other nana (Pat), his cousin Thomas and I went for a drive looking for hawks to photograph today.  And we went for a very long drive out Waihue Road and back along Opanake Road.  I had never been out so far on thoes back roads and it was a lovely day and drive.  It is so beautiful and peaceful out in the country.  Kories nana belongs to a photography club and she and Korie took photos of hawks, fungus, autumn trees, maize paddocks and a tractor!  It is so cool that you have had some more visits from DPS buddies, hopefully we can come to visit soon, and when the time is right for us to visit it will happen.  I am putting some more photos for your album in the pst tomorrow along with photo stories for you to read, enjoy.
Love to you both Kathryn and Korie xox
