Thank you so much for updating the blog, Leigh - I think of Rory often, so it is great to hear how he's doing. I loved your description of Rory responding to something you read to him, it reminded me of reading "Wonder" in class in Year 11 English. Rory always had the most empathetic, thoughtful responses to the challenges that the main character faced, so it doesn't surprise me that he still responds to the stories you read together. Please pass on my love to Rory, and tell him that I am in awe of his bravery. My thoughts are with you all. Rebecca xo

Hi there Gardiner family
It’s very tough for you all at the moment so know we are thinking of you constantly and sending our love and healing thoughts.
We have a pheasant loitering around our property and it makes me think of you Rory.
It’s up early in the morning and making its noise before it moves around.
We have some rabbits bouncing round the paddocks too. Lots of kingfishers around here as well as noisy magpies.
I though I heard a tui the other day I am crossing g all my fingers it hangs around. We have only just started planting our property so are making sure we use plants that are attractive to tui/native birds
The boys were on the motorbikes this afternoon. I can’t look at them while they are on them makes me get sweaty hands.
Kody took his out to the beach... I hate to think how fast he went!!!

Awesome news Rory. Glad to hear you are waking up etc. I was thinking of you yesterday when I played my 72 holes of golf as a fundraiser for the Cancer Society. You were my motivation. Love you mate. XOX.
