Journey

A week ago our lovely little dog Fern suddenly passed away.  She had been part of our family for over 13 years.  She had grown up with the boys and was always present, keen to be part of whatever was going on, and to give love and receive it in return.  We all feel sad she is gone, and hear her echo in the space she left behind.  Sean buried Fern in our garden so she will remain close by. 

Rory has continued with the Pilates trial completing two 30 minute sessions per week.  He had a rongoa massage to alleviate the pain in his back and a re-assessment with Physio Josh.  He also had his six-monthly dental check at the hospital. 

Rory and Colt attended a Canteen Taranaki event – making (and eating) dumplings.  Both boys, Rory in particular, values the connection with young people who have been affected by cancer and found a new normal.
