If you would like to leave Rory and his family a message of support please post in the boxes below
Hi Rory, I had the very high honor of releasing your kiwi 'Hulk' into the Totara Reserve yesterday afternoon. You named him well, he created quite a ruckus by busting out of his box in Rotokare's classroom!!
We checked on him first thing this morning, and he had already marched right across the main track and found another kiwi !! Goodness only knows what he's going to get up to tonight.
Hulk is becoming quite a legend, and I promise you, our team will do what ever it takes to keep your boy safe.
Take care, Jen.
Hi Rory and family
Wow those platters look delicious-what a nice treat for you all.
Thinking of you all at Starship this week, stay strong.
Sending love and best wishes
Mrs Hadland xx
Oh Leigh, your blog has become harder and harder to read as Rory's situation and stamina to keep going deteriorate. Like everyone else who loves you, we wish there was something/anything we could do to help. All we can do is send you our love and strength, and hope you get home tomorrow for the slightest reprieve from the nightmare. We love you.
Hey beautiful family. Mrs Krook here, hoping Colt is having fun in the big smoke during Level 2. Please let me know when you're back in town so I can drop some things around for Colt. Hope Rory is feeling better today- sending positive vibes your way. Happy Mothers day for the other day also Leigh- YOU ARE AN AMAZING MOTHER xoxo.
Thinking of you all with love, and a few sobs. You're a beautiful mum.
Hold on Rory! It sounds like it's so tough at the moment, and you are going through something so few of us ever have to experience. But we all want to see you well and happy at the end of this. Your family and friends are amazing - you are so loved. I hope their love keeps you going through the lows. I think of you often, hang in there. Love, Mrs Crowe xo
Welcome back! We all loved seeing you (“virtually”) today.. thanks for joining in. You looked so happy to be home.
See you online again soon,
Happy Easter to you all.
Hoping to hear very soon that you are on your way home,
Thanks for sharing your journey with me. I love hearing about how you are all going and overcoming challenges you face. Hoping you are all well and driving the 'quiet' roads safely. Kia Kaha - Mrs K
Hang in there Rory, Leigh, Sean and Colt. You're such an amazing family with incredible love for each other and hopefully this ordeal will be over soon and you can keep back to the relative safety of Inglewood. xxxx
Hi Rory, I can't believe you are 18!!! That makes me feel so old, it feels like only yesterday I was teaching you as a 9 year old. I wish you weren't stuck in starship during the lock down but when you are not well it's the best place to be and who better to be in lock down with than your awesome family! I hope the days pass quickly and you feel better with every sunrise. Thinking of you all the time, keep smiling xx (Mrs M/Miss Field)
Hello to the Gardiners!
Sounds like your all doing it real tough at the moment in very confined spaces.
Rory ... to take your mind off things we are building the Star Wars Death Star (to be fair I have no idea what that is, but it is taking up half the dinner table!)
We are on the home straight .... not too many bags left to assemble. I will send you some photos once it’s done.
My husband Craig is a huge Star Wars and Lego fan like you!
His favourite shop right now is the new Lego store in Newmarket.
Oh the Lego stories you two could share!
We have been keeping busy at home in the lockdown. Our latest activity is having a go at growing sprouts. Should be done in a couple of days . Yum yum
I’m saving jigsaw puzzles for the final two weeks.
Happy birthday, Rory! Eighteen already!
Happy birthday Rory x
Happy 18th Birthday Rory! Sending lots of love your way.
