Hi Rory and family,
I have just come home from a visit to school with my almost 1 year old daughter while on maternity leave, to hear this news. My heart feels very heavy today. Rory you have always been a little ray of sunshine in my day when you were my student and I’m sure that will be part of my day again in some way as I follow your journey on this blog. Keep up your strength and know you have a whole army of support back at home.
Big hugs to you all and take care
Mrs Lovell-Gibson xx

It was lovely to see Rory "live' the other day Leigh.
Both students and staff were all so happy to see him.
That beautiful, brave boy of yours.
And yes, we remain full of hope in our hearts,

Kia ora e te whānau, kia ora Rory. How amazing are you! Miharo rawa e koe!
It was great to see you and the whānau out enjoying our walkway and I keep an eye out for you whenever I'm out there. It's been pretty cold and blustery in the last month or more but knowing I have to turn into the cold head wind doesn't ever stop me loving the burst of adrenaline and physical exertion.
It's crunch time at school with all assessments needing to be done-and-dusted and the students are getting out and enjoying the longer, sunnier days. We shared morning tea with the Yr 13's today. We said our farewells and shared our gratitude for their enormous contributions to our lovely school and community. We're looking forward to prize giving tomorrow evening and especially seeing them walk across the stage for the last time. I hope we might see you there too Rory. But, we just look forward to your next visit when you're feeling up to it. Kia kaha, kia piki te ora Rory.
Leigh, Sean and the whānau, hope to see you all enjoying our great outdoors again soon. Sending you all our good vibes to boost your energy and strengthen your hearts and minds.
Arohanui kia koutou,
Deb

Hi Rory, we're really missing seeing that smile at school, but it's lovely to see it in photos, at least. You continue to amaze me with how you face challenges. I'm thinking of you and all of your family, especially on those hard days. Love and hugs from Mrs Crowe xo

Good morning Leigh, Sean and Rory. Gosh, what a journey you guys are on. If anyone can beat this, it's you. We look forward to bumping into you as we head off around the block on our sunny Sunday mornings. Sending you lots and lots and lots of love.
(Pipi included. She had two teeth removed on Friday! What a sad and sorry sight she was but has bounced back in a way that's hard to believe. We're off on the F&B trip to Pureora later this week and it was only chance, because of a vaccination required for her kennels, that the teeth -- recent breaks -- were found. No more beef bones for Pipi!)
